Microsoft Enterprise Mobility and Security (EMS) is a software package that incorporates several components for a complete security experience.

Microsoft’s Enterprise Mobility and Security solution has carved out a reputation for itself as a premiere solution for securing organisations as part of a wider identity management strategy.

There are currently two flavours of EMS: E3 and E5. While the latter builds on the former, there are some common features between the two, including:

  • Single sign-on (SSO) for users
  • Microsoft Intune
  • Azure Rights Management
  • Microsoft Advanced Threat Analytics

Enterprise Mobility & Security E3

Enterprise Mobility and SecurityEnterprise Mobility and Security E3 comes with all the essentials your organisation needs to transform security processes, including Azure Active Directory Premium (Version P1) and Azure Rights Management.

Also featured is Microsoft Intune, a powerful tool that allows for greater device management. User devices can receive automatic updates rolled out across the organisation, as well as professional levels of security. If a device is lost, don’t sweat it: Intune allows for remote wiping.

Enterprise Mobility and SecurityUsers can also make the most of the Single Sign-On (SSO) feature to combat password fatigue and make for effortless logging in.

E5 also comes with new Identity Protection and Privileged Identity Management  (PIM) capabilities to protect against identity theft.

Enterprise Mobility and SecurityLast – but by no means least – is the new Cloud App Security feature, which allows users to discover cloud apps in use within their network and control access to those apps.
